Betty’s Farm Shop has grown over the last 5 years from Emma selling eggs on a pasting table at the farm gate to being a nominated Finalist in the Derbyshire Life Farm Shop of the Year awards, 2016.

We still sell our fabulous free range eggs from the Farm; you can have anything from half a dozen to half a million (our ladies lay c.200,000 eggs a week). Would you like big ones or mediums, unloved, jumbos, maybe double yokers or sometimes pullet eggs? Starting at a fantastic 11p an egg (tray of unloveds) they are a tasty, healthy, fresh local product that have to be tried to be believed but we are now so much more than just eggs.

Here’s a brief taster of what else you can find at Betty’s:

We stock a large range of lovely jams, chutneys, sauces, sweets and treats and pride ourselves on sourcing as many products as possible from within a 30 mile radius of the farm.

We have a daily bread delivery from Luke Evans, a Derbyshire based bakery and milk from Duffield Dairy that tastes like it used to. We have Oddfellows chocolate created in Burton on Trent by flavour wizards Emily & Ian Flanagan and all our chocolate brownies are made on site.

Katee, our resident cook, also creates free range scotch eggs, super sausages rolls, perfect pork pies and a variety of delicious dishes for easy dinners and ‘days off’. The main ingredients for these are sourced from our own Butchery, located in the Shop and managed by 3 fully qualified and experienced butchers.

Open 7 days a week with knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff – we are so much more than just eggs!

Fish Van Tuesday’s

We have Stuart Bailey, from the Market Hall in Derby, with his FISH van every Tuesday 1.30pm till 3pm. If you have missed him we can always take orders.
Our eggs have to meet strict welfare standards to be able to be classed as Free Range, Freedom Food and RSPCA standard. We are also monitored by the Supermarkets, the Packing Stations, the Egg Inspectors, Environmental Health and Trading Standards.
